Campaign led by young author and philanthropist Sarah Kittoe to renovate the library at St. Paul’s Basic School in Tema, Ghana. To foster an environment conducive to learning, growth, and development for every child, I, Sarah Kittoe, a young author and philanthropist, have launched a fundraiser for a library refurbishing project at St. Paul’s Basic School in Tema, Ghana.

The current state of the school library at St. Paul’s Methodist Basic School is far from ideal. Instead of being an inviting and enjoyable space for children to learn, it is congested and filled with irrelevant books. Witnessing this during my recent visit to Ghana, where I donated copies of my books, left me feeling deeply saddened.

Even at the age of 11, I am committed to making a positive impact. I have decided to allocate a significant portion of the proceeds from the sale of my books towards revitalizing the school library. My goal is to create a space where my fellow peers can have access to a well-organized and inspiring collection of books, promoting a love for learning and exploration. Your support in this endeavor will contribute to enhancing the educational experience for these young minds at St. Paul’s Basic School.

Project Update

I would like to express my gratitude for the invaluable support received during the completion of the initial phase of my library project. In this phase, I successfully revamped the IT room, introducing new furniture and computers equipped with an interactive learning programme aligned with the Ghanaian curriculum. This initiative is poised to have a lasting impact, playing a crucial role in nurturing and uncovering the potential of numerous generations of bright minds.

As we move forward, the second phase of the project is on the horizon, and I anticipate returning to seek your continued support. Together, we can continue making strides towards providing an enriching and conducive learning environment for all.
